Making Latino Arts & Culture Come Alive

Artist Spotlight
Music is what Oseiku Daniel Díaz remembers most about his childhood. “My dad was always playing music—and all kinds,” Díaz reflects. His first toy drum was a Christmas gift, but with one whack, the paper broke. Later his father gave him a set of bongos, and a drummer was born. Though his father didn’t live to see his son perform professionally, Díaz is grateful to his dad for setting him on this path. “He saw something in me.”
